Privacy Policy
Effective 9 October 2026
The short version
driveviewhotels.com is a read-only guide. We do not ask you to sign up, we do not run analytics, and we only see personal information if you choose to email us. The rest of this page explains the details. Questions can go to hello@driveviewhotels.com.
Data you may share with us
When you write to us, by email or through the contact form (which simply opens your mail program), we receive whatever you include — usually your name, email address and the message itself. We use it only to read and answer your note.
Data collected automatically
Like almost every website, ours is served by a hosting company whose systems may log routine technical details such as IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time. These logs exist to keep the site secure and working, are retained for a short period, and are not combined with other data to identify anyone.
Data stored on your device
A single item is saved in your browser's local storage to remember how you answered the storage notice. The Cookie Policy describes it.
What never happens
- No advertising networks, analytics tools or social-media pixels are installed.
- No visitor profiles are built.
- Personal data is never sold, rented or traded.
Outside services
Typefaces are delivered by Google Fonts; when your browser fetches them, Google receives your IP address. Links to hotel websites lead to pages governed by those hotels' own privacy terms.
Why we hold data and for how long
We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. Messages are kept only as long as a conversation requires and are deleted within twelve months at the latest.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the privacy law where you live, you may be entitled to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, limit or object to how it is used, or lodge a complaint with a data protection regulator. Email us to make any request and we will reply within the period the law sets.
Age
Readers should be 18 or older, and we make no attempt to gather details about minors. If you think a child has emailed us, let us know and we will delete the message.
Updates to this page
If our practices change we will revise this policy and update the effective date shown above.
